It is Writer Mom Life’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website. Accordingly, we have developed this privacy policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and otherwise make use of personal information. Please note that the owners and administrators of the Writer Mom Life website (authors Daphne James Huff and J. R. Frontera) do not live in the European Union and do not have a legal presence in the EU. Still, they have taken the necessary steps to become GDPR compliant, which includes an extensive privacy policy. This policy is outlined below.
Collection of data
We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.
Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.
When you sign up for the Writer Mom Life newsletter (also called an email list or Writer Mom Life Extras!), your email address is collected. Other list-building services Writer Mom Life uses to deliver free resources, such as BookFunnel and InstaFreebie, may also collect your first and last name. Writer Mom Life does not need, want, or use your name for anything except personally addressing you in occasional emails. If you suspect your name is included with your email address on Writer Mom Life’s email list and you want it removed, email at: contact(at)writermomlife.com and your name will be removed.

Writer Mom Life uses WordPress as a website provider. WordPress may log your IP address, country, length of visit, and information about pages viewed and links clicked while on Writer Mom Life’s website. It does not log your name, your physical address, your email address, or anything else personally identifiable about you. Writer Mom Life does not track you after you leave the website.

Use of personal data
Writer Mom Life collects your email address so you can be sent email newsletters. The newsletters may include (but are not limited to) complete show notes of podcast episodes, free resources and tools, and news about other products or services. These newsletters are sent on a regular basis and always include an unsubscribe link.
We will only use your Personal Data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to have an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us. If we need to use your Personal Data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
We will protect personal information by using reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
We will make readily available to visitors to the website information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

We review the Personal Data we hold at regular intervals and delete permanently or anonymise any Personal Data which is no longer necessary.

To leave a comment on the Writer Mom Life’s blog or to contact her through the website’s provided contact form, you will need to provide a name and an email address. Please be aware that the name and any other information you provide in blog comments will be publicly viewable.
